Workplace Drug & Alcohol Testing
A best practice drug and alcohol testing program can be an important part of your overall workplace health and safety strategy. Along with those industries that must test due to legislation standards, many other responsible workplaces are also implementing drug and alcohol testing programmes within their workplaces.
Healthcorp will manage and facilitate all relevant aspects of a workplace drug and alcohol testing programme – from initial discussions to ascertain ‘best practice’ procedures based on your individual needs and requirements, policy development creation, timelines for testing, sample collection, results analysis & interpretation and all necessary reporting.
Investing in and implementing a drug and alcohol program into your workplace for the first time can be daunting and many companies underestimate the investment required in managing an effective program.
Healthcorp can provide testing for both alcohol via breath analysis and urine or oral fluid testing for drugs consistent with the relevant Australia / New Zealand Standard and current best industry practice.
Healthcorp uses National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) accredited laboratories for the delivery of urine drug testing services to AS/NZS4308:2008 and AS/NZS 4760:2019 standards.
Where required, we can also arrange for testing for a range of other drugs such as barbiturates and synthetic cannabinoids which fall outside the scope of AS/NZS4308:2008, and might be requested as additional tests or to comply with industry drug and alcohol policies.
Quality, accuracy and schedules are crucial for your business. That is why you will receive initial results for our point of collection services for drug & alcohol testing on the same day, with non-negative results that require additional confirmatory testing, usually available within two days.
Once you engage Healthcorp to deliver your Workplace Drug & Alcohol testing programme, a company representative will be in contact to discuss all requirements and timelines for implementing the service and provide advice as needed.
Healthcorp recommends an annual review of your workplace drug and alcohol testing policy to ensure you are delivering ‘best practice’ health and safety procedure for all employees and you are up to date with current legislation in your state. Healthcorp is available to assist with any policy and procedural strategy and planning requirements.
