Course Description:

This course is designed to provide refresh participants with the skills and knowledge required to perform the essential life saving technique of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Content is based on the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines 2011.

Learning Objectives:

  • DRSABCD action plan
  • Respond to signs of an unconscious casualty
  • Perform CPR in line with ARC guidelines
  • Infection control
  • Demonstrate the use of AED

Course Prerequisites:

No pre- requisites for this course. Students must be at least 14 years of age at the time of attendance.

Course Format:

The face to face training is 2.5 hours and covers both theory and practical aspects of CPR Training.  

Students are required to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the course commencement or will be refused entry.

Group Training: 

Healthcorp is a national training organisation providing discounted training for groups of 10-22 students at your office or workplace. 

The CPR Update course can be customised to meet your industry requirements. Healthcorp also provides an Advanced Management System to notify clients and students when certificates are due to expire, ensuring staff are always compliant.

Qualification Issued:

On successful completion of the course participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the nationally accredited course - HLTCPR211A Perform CPR.

Certificates are posted the week following each course.

Certificate Validity:

The CPR certificate is valid for 12 months. Australian Resuscitation Council recommends that cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills are refreshed annually.

Enrolment Confirmation:  

Once enrolled, Healthcorp will email students a CPR booking confirmation with venue details and maps, course requirements and terms of enrolment.
